This magnificent Victorian mansion was built in 1927 by William and Martha Chapman. Their architect visited England to study Tudor manor houses. In 1941 at a famous Christmas Party, the Von Trapp family sang in the great hall. After Martha's death in 1960, the mansion was used as a seminary and drug rehabilitation center. After that it was vacant, vandalized, and burned, and slated for demolition. Thanks to the Heritage Conservancy this magnificent structure was saved and completely rehabilitated. Today it houses the Conservancy's offices and is rented for special events.

Henry Mercer (1856-1930) built Fonthill as his home between 1908 and 1912. The concrete castle boasts 44 rooms, 18 fireplaces and more than 200 windows of varying size and shape. Kids' Castle

This impressive 8-story structure was the result of a volunteer community effort to build a wonderland of swings, slides, a rocket ship, climbing and hiding places, and a great place for kids to spend a summer afternoon. It is located within Central Park at 425 Wells Road in Doylestown Township, just outside of town. It is open 7 days a week, sunrise to sunset, and admission is free. The park is open year-round though the castle closes after the first freeze. Central Park is a 108-acre facility that includes tennis courts, volleyball, soccer fields, and 1.5 miles of biking and hiking trails. Mercer Museum

This 235-acre complex is unique to Pennsylvania in that it harbors the best-protected Coastal Plain Forest left in the state. It is part of the 460-acre park and Silver Lake which is the terminus of the Mill Creek, Queen Anne Creek, and the Black Ditch Creek Watershed. The main building houses a multipurpose auditorium, exhibit room depicting that which is unique to the park, offices, the Barnswallow Gift Shop, and a reference library. Immediately outside the building is a large meadow. Nearby, a 60-person amphitheater is designed for campfires and shows.

Stover-Myers Mill, which comprises 26 acres along the Tohickon Creek in Bedmnster Township on Dark Hollow Road and the creek in Pipersville. Originally, this mill started as a water-powered gristmill/sawmill and was later powered by steam. Owned by Jacob Stover in the early 1800's, the Stover-Myers Mill produced flour and animal feed for regional and local consumption.
